Advising at Oak Valley takes on a unique approach. Like most other colleges and universities, advising is geared toward directing students toward their academic and career goals. However, unlike most other colleges and universities, Oak Valley advising evolves around giving students access to a variety of resources more focused and concentrated to life after college.

Since students do not worry about selecting a major, minor, or electives, Oak Valley’s single degree program ensures students stay focused on simply completing their coursework and moving forward successfully. Therefore, time and resources for student advising center around internships, mentoring, career searches, and graduate school options and opportunities. Through a combination of interviews, coaching sessions, and activities, students are able to learn about which opportunities and paths best suit their long-term academic, personal, professional, and spiritual gifts and passions.
